Day 2: Forest Life

Day 2: Forest Life, Activity 3: Weird and Wonderful

Task Description: This post is apart of the SLJ that stands for ( Summer Learning Journey ). For this weeks task it was about well an activity we had to do. My personal job was to try and solve this question, it became hard at first but I manage to handle it.

  1. Hey there Jasmyne. My name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey team. It's wonderful to see that you've made a good start to the activities.

I was working with the Summer Learning Journey team last year - perhaps you remember? I've since moved overseas to London, England. So I am currently writing to you from the other side of the world. How cool is that!?

Well done on getting the answer correct for this cactus maths problem. I love the way you have organised your working with the question next to it. I used the exact same partitioning strategy as you. I find it a lot easier to separate complex numbers (like 365) into much tidier numbers (300,60 and 5).

Would you be able to work out how much water a cactus needs over a 10 year period?

How about over a 15 year period?

Good luck, can't wait to read more of your blog.

    Thanks, Billy.
